Here are some of the reasons why many homeowners install new panels:
Between our computers, smart home devices, phone chargers, and kitchen appliances, today’s homeowners use more electricity than ever before. Most homes here in Albuquerque and Santa Fe just weren’t built with this much electrical use in mind.
As such, many homeowners are dangerously close to overloading their current breaker panel. Blown fuses or repeatedly tripped breakers can lead to an assortment of problems, including the overheating of your home’s wiring—a major fire risk!
It’s time for a panel upgrade. By replacing your current electrical panel box with a new, 200 amp breaker panel, you’ll reduce the frequency of tripped breakers and ensure the safety of your home. At Wagner, our electricians are electric panel specialists. We replace panels, repair breakers, and handle all of your home’s electrical needs.

Is it time to upgrade your electrical service? Running into problems with your panel and its breakers? Call our team now. We’ll send an electrician out to your home to take a closer look at the panel.
For our electricians, nothing is more important than safety. Before starting, we’ll thoroughly inspect the panel to ensure it’s safe to work on, and there are no other issues that threaten your home.
From there, our electricians will handle your panel upgrade or repair. We’ll run several tests after we’re done to ensure that everything is working properly and that your home’s electricity is safe.
If have an older fuse panel or a low-amp breaker panel, it's time for an upgrade. Aging, outdated panels are a major fire and safety hazard. Many homes need a 200 amp circuit breaker panel.
Need to add a circuit to your home? If you're adding a spa, pool, or simply more outlets to rooms, you may need a subpanel added if there's no more room in your current panel. Our team can help.
A power surge can damage your electronics and appliances. In most homes, dryers, ovens, microwaves, and computers have no surge protection. We can help protect your home and everything in it.
Protect your home by upgrading your breakers to GFCI and AFCI models. GFCI breakers protect people from the risk of shock, while AFCI breakers can prevent arc fires. Call our team to learn more!
Have a breaker that's constantly tripping, or has been damaged? You need to get it replaced—fast. That's where we come in. Have our team replace the faulty breaker, protecting your home.
Have us inspect your breaker box. Our electricians will look for loose or corroding wiring that needs to be replaced, and can ensure the circuit breaker box is protected from the elements.

This can depend on the current type of panel your home has, and how much rewiring work needs to be done. Zinsco and Federal Pacific panels, for instance, are much older than most other electric panels, and our team may have to do some additional rewiring in order to replace them. To get an idea of what the cost of your electrical panel upgrade will be, give us a call and talk to our team.
How do I know if I need circuit breaker repair? Older, consistently overloaded circuit breakers are more likely to run into problems. If you have a circuit breaker that is constantly tripping—especially when you turn on an appliance or your air conditioner starts up—that’s a sign it needs to be replaced or upgraded. Look at the breaker in the panel box. If it’s physically damaged, burnt, or won’t stay in the right position, you need to call our electricians right away.
