Why do you need to upgrade?

Here are some of the reasons why many homeowners install new panels:

  • You need to add surge protection.
  • Your home uses more electricity than average.
  • You have a full panel, and need more room for circuits.
  • You have a much older or damaged panel.

Is My Panel Safe?

Between our computers, smart home devices, phone chargers, and kitchen appliances, today’s homeowners use more electricity than ever before. Most homes here in Albuquerque and Santa Fe just weren’t built with this much electrical use in mind.

As such, many homeowners are dangerously close to overloading their current breaker panel. Blown fuses or repeatedly tripped breakers can lead to an assortment of problems, including the overheating of your home’s wiring—a major fire risk!

Upgrade to a 200 Amp Panel.

It’s time for a panel upgrade. By replacing your current electrical panel box with a new, 200 amp breaker panel, you’ll reduce the frequency of tripped breakers and ensure the safety of your home. At Wagner, our electricians are electric panel specialists. We replace panels, repair breakers, and handle all of your home’s electrical needs.

We Answer Your Circuit Panel Questions.

What will it cost to upgrade my electrical panel?

This can depend on the current type of panel your home has, and how much rewiring work needs to be done. Zinsco and Federal Pacific panels, for instance, are much older than most other electric panels, and our team may have to do some additional rewiring in order to replace them. To get an idea of what the cost of your electrical panel upgrade will be, give us a call and talk to our team.

How do I know if need circuit breaker panel repair?

How do I know if I need circuit breaker repair? Older, consistently overloaded circuit breakers are more likely to run into problems. If you have a circuit breaker that is constantly tripping—especially when you turn on an appliance or your air conditioner starts up—that’s a sign it needs to be replaced or upgraded. Look at the breaker in the panel box. If it’s physically damaged, burnt, or won’t stay in the right position, you need to call our electricians right away.
